Searchers

Location

The Searchers Sunday school class meets in the basement of the Church in Mini-Fellowship Hall. Take the elevator to the basement (first floor), turn right at the first door, proceed down the ramp, and turn left into Mini-Fellowship Hall.

Age of Class Members

Searchers class ages range from 55 years old to 95 years old. Everyone is welcome to join the class regardless of age.

Curriculum

We enjoy studying different topics including Biblical Studies.

Social Events

The class plans a banquet in the spring, a picnic in the summer, attends plays and shows in Lancaster and has a covered dish and oyster dinner for Christmas.

Believers

Location

The Believers are currently meeting with the Searchers class in the Mini Fellowship Hall.

Age of Class Members

This class is available to all adults, regardless of age. The current membership ranges in age from mid 50’s through the mid 70’s.

Curriculum

The class studies a variety of topics including both Bible studies and contemporary subjects related to Chrisian living.

Social Events

The class plans picnics, attendance of plays, game nights, and an occasional service project.

Challengers

Location

The Challengers Sunday School class meets in Room 7, adjacent to the Mini-Fellowship Hall.

Age of Class Members

The class is available to all adults, however the current age range is mid 40s – mid 60s.

Curriculum

This class studies a variety of topics including both Bible Studies and contemporary subjects related to Christian Living. Current events are also part of our discussions.

Social Events

The class plans an annual picnic and various service projects.

Young Adult Sunday School

Location

First Floor of the Brethren House. The Brethren House is the building next to the Church along Liberty Street. Access to the meeting room can be gained through the Liberty Street entrance or the entrance directly across from the church. 

Age of Class Members

Anyone who considers themselves a “young adult.”

Curriculum

The current curriculum is not structured but discussion based around different topics each week.

Childcare

Childcare for infants and toddlers is provided throughout throughout the Sunday school hour. Preschool age children and older have their own Sunday school classrooms.

Small Groups

Helping Hands Circle

Meeting the third Tuesday of the month in Mini Fellowship Hall at 6:30, this group makes candy, serves meals and challenges numerous service projects such as the Carlisle Truck Stop Ministry and Prison Ministry! For more information, please contact Carol Wingert or Tenni Pyles.

Loving Hearts

Loving hearts is a group of widowed and elderly women who get together monthly for specialized events. These events include special trips, lunch at various local restaurants, and Bingo. Loving Hearts meets the third Thursday of every month at 12:00pm. For more information, please contact Vivian Fisher.

Fitness and Fellowship

Pickleball

What is pickleball:

It’s a paddle sport for all ages and athletic levels. It is very easy to learn and play. It combines elements of tennis and ping pong. Just use a paddle to keep a wiffle ball going back and forth over a net. There are 2 players to a team and 4 players on a court. Teams are decided at time of play and change throughout play.
