The following information is an expansion of announcements made in a letter mailed to congregants.
Out of deepest concern for the health of our congregants and in alignment with local and
state recommendations, all activities, including worship services, are cancelled until further notice. At
minimum, it will be two weeks. This situation will continue to be monitored and you will be updated as
decisions are made.
In the meantime, services will be recorded in advance and made available on Facebook on Sunday
mornings, and through the website. We will offer 1 broadcast of the service on Facebook at 9:00am so that we can still come together as the body of Christ to worship and interact with each other during that time. The worship service will then be pinned to the top of the Facebook page for the remainder of the Sunday.
Steps to worshipping together:
(1) If you don’t already, “like” the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren Facebook page.
(2) Open Facebook on Sunday morning before service.
(3) Go to the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren Facebook page. We will be going “live,” and you can click on the video to worship along with us.
Feel free to comment throughout the video saying “Good Morning!” to each other and sharing joys and concerns.
If you don’t have access to Facebook, a link to the service will be available on this website’s homepage that you can watch. All worship services will be archived on The Word page so that you can watch it later if you aren’t available Sunday morning. If you or someone you know do not have access to the internet, arrangements can be made to have a DVD delivered to your home. If you would like to have a DVD delivered, please contact the church office.
