Additional volunteers are needed for our Sunday morning childcare

Additional volunteers are needed for our Pre-school/Kindergarten (age 3-5) Sunday morning childcare. If you can help once a month or even once a quarter, please contact Reba Baliles.

4th Street Kids

The next 4th Street Kids programming (grades 1-5) will be held Wednesday, April 22nd (not the 3rd Wednesday this month) from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. - Students in grades 1-5 are invited to join us for a meal in the BLC, followed by a Bible lesson, activities, and games in the Brethren Haus. See Pastor Mark or Reba if you have questions or interest in helping

4th Street Youth

4th Street Youth will be every Wednesday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. (Structured programming will start at 6:00 pm.) Youth from 6th thru 12th grades are encouraged to attend and do not have to be members of our church. If you have questions, please see Jessica Madden or Pastor Mark.

Children's Church - Every Sunday morning at 9:30am

Grades 1st through 8th. Join Jessica Madden, Youth Director, as she leads the Children’s Church! Every Sunday morning from 9:30am - 10:30am & 10:35am - 11:45am, on the main level of the Brethren Haus.

Smart Cookies Preschool Chicken BBQ - May 30th

Smart Cookies Preschool Chicken BBQ, Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Super Shoes Parking Lot on Lincoln Way East from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tickets will be on sale before and after worship. Menu is 1/2 Chicken, Baked Beans, Applesauce, and a Martins Roll for $14. Prepaid meals must be picked up by 1 p.m. This is a fundraiser for Smart Cookies to make the preschool an affordable option.

Graduate Sunday

We will be honoring our graduates on Sunday, June 7th. If you wish to be recognized, please see the church office for the Graduate Information Form.

Church Board Information Session - June 14th

On Sunday, June 14th, 10:15–10:45 am in the Sanctuary, there will be an information session regarding the Board’s activity. The congregation is encouraged to attend. Contemporary Worship Service and Adult Sunday School Classes will still take place following the meeting.

Needed for Vacation Bible School !

We are in need of plastic table cloths (Dollar Tree) in light green and dark green, rolls of brown paper (postal/packing), and artificial ivy for props for VBS. If you can donate, please bring to the church office as soon as possible. Thanks!

Smart Cookies Preschool Summer Camp - Starting June 22nd

Smart Cookies Preschool will be holding a summer camp June 22 - July 31, Monday-Friday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. We are now accepting applications! Come explore God's Creation with us this summer! Totem Pole Playhouse Event - June 25th

The Church has secured group rate tickets for Totem Pole Playhouse on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. for the production of Come From Away. Cost is $45 per person. Payment is due at time of sign-up, payable to Chambersburg Church of the Brethren. Sign-up sheet is in the Brethren Life Center lobby.

Needed: Non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry.

Place items in the barrel located in the Brethren Life Center Lobby. Please check expiration dates on the items as some have been outdated.

Winter Weather Cancellation

In the event that weather conditions require a cancellation of services or activities at the church, an effort will be made to communicate that to members and friends through the email list, the One Call list, the church’s website and Facebook page, and the local news station WGAL and CBS21. You can also call the church and listen to the answering machine. Of course, even if services or activities are not cancelled, please do not attempt to come if you do not feel safe. Note: Please be advised that if Chambersburg Area School District BUILDING is closed or is dismissed early due to weather conditions, YOUTH GROUP will NOT be in session.
