Winter Weather Cancellation Info

In the event that weather conditions require a cancellation of services or activities at the church, an effort will be made to communicate that to members and friends through the email list, the One Call list, the church’s website and Facebook page, and the local news station WGAL and CBS21. You can also call the church and listen to the answering machine. Of course, even if services or activities are not cancelled, please do not attempt to come if you do not feel safe. Note: Please be advised that if Chambersburg Area School District BUILDING is closed or is dismissed early due to weather conditions, YOUTH GROUP will NOT be in session.

4th Street Kids (grades 1-5)

Youth Group will be returning Wednesday, September 3th. 4th Street Youth will be every Wednesday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. (Structured programming will start at 6:00 pm.) Youth from 6th thru 12th grades are encouraged to attend and do not have to be members of our church. If you have questions, please see Jessica Madden or Pastor Mark.

Every Sunday morning from 9:30am - 10:30am & 10:35am - 11:45am, on the main level of the Brethren Haus.

Smart Cookies Preschool is looking for...

Smart Cookies Preschool is looking for several people who can be Substitute Teachers and/or Substitute teacher's Assistants in our program. Our staff is rarely ill, but when they are we need a list of willing and able subs. When you substitute, you are paid for your time. To apply please contact Amy Kobie by email at Amy.Kobie@chambcob.org, or call the church office to express your interest.

Young Adult Fellowship

We will be having a get together for young adults or those who feel like they are young adults on the fourth Sunday of each month.

“Soup”er Bowl

“Soup”er Bowl - Missions and Service Commission will be sponsoring “Soup”er Bowl of Caring. We will be collecting for “Soup”er Bowl Sunday on Sunday, February 1st and Sunday, February 8th. Root for your favorite football team by placing your canned food items on your team’s table in the BLC Lobby. Items collected will benefit SCCAP Food Bank. Watch the Brethren Life Center lobby area for tables to place your canned items on. All items will be delivered after February 8th.

“Soup”er Movie Night

“Soup”er Movie Night, Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Movie will show at 6:00 p.m. Movie to be shown is The King of Kings (PG 2025‧Animation‧1h 43m). Renowned writer Charles Dickens shares the story of Jesus Christ with his son, Walter. As his father narrates the stirring tale, Walter becomes captivated with the events of Jesus' life. People attending are to bring a soup of their choosing to share. You are also encouraged to bring a can of soup to place on the “Soup”er Bowl tables for donation also. Please come and fellowship even if you don’t bring any soup! A sign-up sheet is in the Brethren Life Center lobby to indicate how many are attending and if you are bringing soup. Place Settings and drinks provided. Snack provided during movie!!! Come join us for a Night of Fun!

Youth Valentine’s Day Party and Card Collection

The Church is invited to our Youth Valentine’s Day Party and Card Collection on Wednesday, February 11th, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Build your own pasta dinner at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a card of encouragement & love for residents of Menno-Haven or craft one at the craft table provided at this event. The cards will be delivered by our Smart Cookies Preschoolers on Wednesday, February 18th.

Smart Cookies Fundraiser - "Gertrude Hawk” Chocolates

Sales begin today and run through February 15th. Catalog, order form, and information is provided in your church mailbox and on the church’s website. Please place completed order forms and checks payable to Chambersburg Church of the Brethren in the box marked “Candy Sales” in the church library and lobby of the Brethren Life Center. You can also order online by entering Chambersburg Church of the Brethren as the organization. Orders will arrive in time for Easter! If you have any questions, please contact Mimi Kelly. Easter Flower Orders

It’s time to order Easter Flowers! Order forms are available in your church mailbox, Narthex and Brethren Life Center Lobby. You have a choice of: Tulips, $11.00; Hyacinths, $11.00; Mini Daffodils, $11.25; and Easter Lily- $13.50. Orders with payment are due by Sunday, February 22, 2026. Place orders in the baskets provided in the Narthex and Brethren Life Center Lobby

Bus Trip to see Joshua at Sight & Sound - April 28

A Bus Trip is planned to Sight and Sound in Lancaster to see “Joshua” on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Depart church at 8:00 a.m. with show time at 11:00 a.m. Enjoy a family style meal at Riehl’s Quilts and Craft Shop, an authentic Amish Home beginning at 2:15 p.m. Departure for home at approximately 4:15 p.m. Cost for bus, tickets, and meal is $170 for Adults and $109 for Children (ages 3 thru 12 yrs.) Payment is due upon sign up and payable to Chambersburg Church of the Brethren. If you are unable to attend after signing up, you are responsible for getting a replacement. Sign-up in the Brethren Life Center lobby.

Needed: Non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry.

Place items in the barrel located in the Brethren Life Center Lobby. Please check expiration dates on the items as some have been outdated.
