Children's Ministry Volunteers Needed

Children's Ministry Volunteers Needed Our church is blessed with young families, and we have an incredible opportunity to invest in the next generation. While we currently have only a small number of children attending each Sunday—approximately two in our Nursery and two to six in our Pre-K classroom. If we hope to continue welcoming new families into our church, it is essential that we provide a strong and consistent children's ministry. We are prayerfully asking members of our church family to consider serving in one of the following areas. Nursery (Birth–3 Years) 2 volunteers needed each Sunday • Provide loving, attentive care for our youngest children during Worship & Sunday School. • Assist with diaper changes and help children with bathroom needs as necessary. • Comfort, play with, and supervise children in a safe, nurturing environment. • Serve from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 11:45 a.m. • Please note that if there is a second worship service, it typically extends about 15 minutes beyond the Sunday School hour. We ask volunteers to plan their schedules accordingly. Pre-K (Age 3 & Potty Trained – Kindergarten) 2 volunteers needed each Sunday • Teach a short, age-appropriate Bible lesson. • Supervise playtime, outdoor activities (weather permitting), and snack time. • Assist children to and from the restroom as needed (no diaper changes required). • Serve from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 11:45 a.m. • Please note that if there is a second worship service, it typically extends about 15 minutes beyond the Sunday School hour. We ask volunteers to plan their schedules accordingly. The Christian Education Committee will provide scheduling, lesson plans, snacks, and training. All you need to bring is a willing heart to serve! If you feel God leading you to serve or would like more information, please contact Linda Hawbaker, Megan Carbaugh, or Reba Baliles. Thank you for prayerfully considering how you can help strengthen our Children's Ministry. Together, we can create a welcoming place where children can learn about Jesus while their families worship and grow in faith.

District Conference Moderator, Nicholas Wingert, warmly invites you to be a part of this joyful gathering of faith and community. Our theme for this year, drawn from Psalm 34:1, is: With Every Breath That I Am Able, I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. This powerful reminder calls us to live lives filled with gratitude and continual praise.

Needed: Non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry.

Place items in the barrel located in the Brethren Life Center Lobby. Please check expiration dates on the items as some have been outdated.

Winter Weather Cancellation

In the event that weather conditions require a cancellation of services or activities at the church, an effort will be made to communicate that to members and friends through the email list, the One Call list, the church’s website and Facebook page, and the local news station WGAL and CBS21. You can also call the church and listen to the answering machine. Of course, even if services or activities are not cancelled, please do not attempt to come if you do not feel safe. Note: Please be advised that if Chambersburg Area School District BUILDING is closed or is dismissed early due to weather conditions, YOUTH GROUP will NOT be in session.
