School has started, and we want to do a challenge with our Food Pantry donations for the month of September. We challenge you to FILL THE BARREL each Sunday this month with after school snacks for kids. Each week we will take count of how much we filled the food pantry barrel and see if we can fill it even fuller the following Sunday. Make sure to bring in the snacks this Sunday!
REVOLUTION’s Annual Fry Tasting!
The youth will meet in the Gym on September 25th at 6:00pm. We will be going to 5 different restaurants to see who has the best fry’s in town! Please fill out the attached permission slip and hand it into Jamie or Nicholas by September 18th.
Pastor’s Bible Study to Begin in October
Pastor Joel will be leading a seven-week Bible Study of the “I AM” sayings of Jesus. Who does Jesus claim to be and what does it mean for us?
The Bible Study will be on Thursdays, starting October 3. The hour-long class will be offered two times each day. Pick one of them.

- 7:00 p.m. in the mini-fellowship hall.
Registration will begin September 8th. Sign-up sheets will be in the narthex and BLC lobby.

“Farthest Corners expresses God’s love in remote regions of Asia where persecution and suffering exist by providing humanitarian aid for the great spiritual, physical and educational needs of the people.”
Donations will be accepted at the door, and all proceeds will be sent directly to Farthest Corners.

Bring the kids for a free afternoon of skating. Only cost will be $3.00 per person for rental of skates. Admissions is free for 250 skaters. Everyone is welcome to come and skate or just watch. You may bring snacks to share during the event. Come join us for a night of fun!

Fall Festival is a celebration designed for the whole family. Fun and fundraising for Camp Eder’s programs include a benefit auction, food, local craft vendors, and children’s games. Pit-Roasted Pork or Turkey highlights the food offerings with eat in or take out available. Sandwiches, soup, and wonderful baked goods are also available. Apple butter crafted from the camp’s apple orchard is a special treat.

Introducing a NEW Adult Sunday School class beginning this November! This class is intended for adults of all ages, singles or couples, who want to gather to study the Word of God and how it applies to daily life. The class will utilize a variety of source material (Scripture, book studies, and/or DVDs, etc.), and topics will vary, reflecting the members’ current interests and needs. Discussion in a relaxed, friendly environment will be encouraged but never forced. Joel Nogle will be kicking off this new class in November! The class will meet in the Sanctuary from 9:30-10:30am. Please join us and utilize our Childcare for Newborns-3-year-old and Children’s Church for 4-year-old-5th grade!
Get a snack, your favorite blanket, and maybe a pillow, and come out for a family movie night in the Brethren Life Center! We will be featuring the movie Breakthrough.

Youth Lock-In!!! November 22nd at 6:00pm till November 23rd at 9:00am. We will be having different activities that will last ALL NIGHT LONG! Such as Ice Skating and Glow Jump at Sky Zone located in Hagerstown (which includes skysocks, 2 slices of pizza, a drink and a T-shirt), Lazer Bowling, movies, snacks, open gym and Breakfast at McDonalds! This event will be $50 per person (which includes all activities and breakfast.)
